Key Stage Two visit West Stow Anglo Saxon Village

On a beautiful and bright Spring Wednesday in March, Badger, Fox, Squirrel and Otter classes visited West Stow Anglo Saxon Village.

Learning about our ancient ancestors was brought to life through exploring the replica Anglo Saxon village, built on exactly the same spaces as the post holes of the original Saxon houses were discovered by archaeologists over 100 years ago.

Close first-hand observations of everyday items gave a fascinating insight into Anglo Saxon life. To parts of shields and spears through to combs, not just for combing hair also used for combing beards and lice out of animals too!!
