Otters finish 4th place in regional finals.
Having won the first round heats at Thurston Community College, Otter Class competed in the regional finals at Stowmarket last Friday. The competition was a step up from the local heats, but Otters were competitive and brilliant, finishing in fourth place overall - the top three spots going to much bigger schools. Highlights included the running performances, with Otters winning a third of all the heats on the track: Poppy, Emilia, Ruby and Molly won the obstacles relay; Demie, Emilia, Ruby and Polly won the over/under relay; Ben and Seb won the 2x2 lap relay; and Elijah and Harvey won the 6 lap paarluaf race. As well as their sporting success to be proud of, the team can be rightly proud of their conduct and behaviour throughout the tournament, being supportive and focused, gracious in victory and defeat.
