Sound: u-e

u-e

u-e (you) u-e (oo) play the flute

Go under the underpants and flick them away, across his mouth and around the shell

Mrs Joubert showed us how to play the u-e u-e flute (this is the action for the sound too)

Then we practised our u-e letter formation whilst recording some of the u-e words.

cute - the split u-e digraph makes a 'you' sound

flute - the split u-e digraph makes an 'oo' sound

After that, we applied our new phonic knowledge to help us read and sort the real and beegu (nonsense) words into two piles.
