This Week's Timetable

 

Here is this week's timetable! I have added in a few more tasks to keep you busy this week. Keep trying to do some exercise when you can. I have put 'PE with Joe' on the timetable for the 3 days he is doing this live. Or you can go for a walk, a bike ride or enjoy playing in the garden so you can get outside!

 

Try and go on TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed for a little while each day, so please let me know on Google Classroom if you don't know your login details. For Maths this week, some lessons will be of me teaching you and some will be the videos like you were doing last week.

 

Try and spend some time reading a book, either to yourself or with someone else. Local libraries are doing a click and collect service if you are in need of some more books! Below is a reading log for you to fill in and send to me at the end of each week. It would be great to see you filling this in every time you read! I will choose one child whose reading I have been impressed with each week who will receive 50p to add to their Squirrel Shop money when we go back to school! (Remember that Citizens of the Week also receive 50p!) I have also added a book review template for you to fill out when you finish a book! Each day I will also be uploading a video of myself reading you our class story, so sit back and watch/listen to that when you can :)

 

This timetable is to help you keep organised, however you do not have to do the tasks in this order! Give what you can a go and please upload photos of your work onto Google Classroom so that we can see it and give you some feedback.

I have created a 'virtual classroom' in Google Classroom which has all of the important links that you will frequently use throughout the week. Use this page to help you navigate your learning quickly and with ease.

Monday 11th January

Exercise

It's important to keep excercising whilst you are at home, so join me in doing a Joe Wicks workout today! I am going to be doing this at home too. He is doing 'PE with Joe' live from 9-9:20am on his YouTube channel. If you can't join him live, you will be able to catch up on the workout later in the day instead. Have fun!

SPaG - Grammar

Click on the link provided below, and this will direct you to today's SPaG lesson. Please could you complete Lesson two: To explore complex sentences. You will need to watch the video and pause it at specific intervals to complete the activities. :)

SPaG - Spelling

Click on the link provided below, and this will direct you to today's spelling lesson. Please could you complete Lesson Two: To practice and apply knowledge of suffixes: Past and present tense, including a test. You will need to watch the video and pause it at specific intervals to complete the activities. There is a test of the words set to practice last week at the end - good luck :)

Maths

For today's Maths lesson, please watch this video that I have filmed of myself teaching you alongside the maths slides! Make sure you have some paper ready to do Teacher Led and the Paired Work from the slides with me. I have attached the slides on Google Classroom for you to see.

Below are the worksheets for today's lesson. You will be practicing more multiplication questions multiplying 1 digit by 2 digits. You can either print the sheet and answer the questions on it, or challenge yourself by writing the questions out in the correct place value columns yourself! The answers are at the end of the sheet, so please mark your work yourself before taking photos of it to upload on Google Classroom.

If you want an extra challenge, take a look at the greater depth questions :)

For Arithmetic, the same as last week, complete a few questions of this test each day. I would suggest 5 per day. I will upload another test near the end of the week too. The answers are at the end so please mark this yourself before sending me photos of your work. Below is also a Beat the Wall for you to have a go at if you would like! The answers are here also so you can add up your score. Do Beat the Wall as many times as you like this week and try to beat your time and score each time! Good luck :)

R.E.

Mrs Sherrington usually teaches you R.E. so she will be creating your R.E. lessons for you still whilst you are doing your remote learning! Today's lesson is on: Islam Revelation.

Story with Miss Cross

Last Monday when we were in school, you all voted for which book you wanted us to read as our end of the day story this term. On your timetable I have set this for the end of the day like normal, however feel free to listen before you go to bed or whenever suits you! Tuesday 12th January

Literacy

For the next two weeks your English work is going to be based on the book 'The Secret of Black Rock.' All lessons will be on YouTube and I will post the link to them every day. They are taught by a teacher called Jane Considine. I hope you enjoy this unit of writing! It will be very creative and Mrs C will help you to create some amazing sentences for your writing. Please upload photos of your fantastic sentences each day so I can see how you're getting on! At times Mrs C will put a timer up to give you time to write. Feel free to pause the video at any point if you need a bit longer to think. Have fun :) Today's lesson is: Sentence Lesson 1.

Maths

Today's maths lesson will be a White Rose video like you watched last week. Your lesson is following on from yesterday's doing: Multiplication of 1 digit x 2 digits. Go back to my video from yesterday if you need to to help you. Follow the video below first and then complete the worksheet. I have added the multiplication square below again if you need it to help with your times tables. If you would prefer to write in your answers from the worksheet on Google Classroom digitally, go to the assignment for today where I have created an editable copy of the worksheet for you there. Otherwise, continue to write your answers on paper instead and send me photos! Please check your answers using the answer sheets before sending me your work.

For an extra challenge, please complete some of the greater depth questions below. The answers are on the second page of the worksheet.

Geography

Last week you did two lessons of History, so this week I thought you could do some Geography for a change! This lesson is looking at: What is the geography of Scotland?

Complete the questions along the way and pause the video when you are asked to. I look forward to seeing what you find out about Scotland!
