Tricky Troll words:
A tricky word could be either a high frequency word (words that we use a lot in text)
or a common exception word (words that cannot be sounded out) e.g. was.
Children need to learn these words, to read them by sight,
rather than by blending sounds to read the words.
It would be great to make flashcards of these words/ to practise them in the bath bubbles or in a tray full of salt - practising does not have to mean sitting and writing them at a table :)
