Monday 18th January

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a good weekend.  I am planning to have a quick Google meet this morning at 9.15am during which i will run through the work set below.  I will probably have to make it fairly brief, as I will be in school with the children whose parents are critical workers.  It was good to see lots of you at the 'meet' on Friday morning and it will be good to see you there again, if you can make it.  

THIS WEEK I HAVE SET UP A TTROCKSTARS BATTLE AGAINST OTTER CLASS.  

Can we follow our victories over the Badgers and Squirrels with a win against the mighty Otters?

Tuesday 19th January

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well.  This morning, there is the usual spelling and mental maths followed by some more division work. There will be a quick 'Google meet' at 9.15 where I will go through the bar model which should help with the maths.
 For English, I have set some work on The Firework Maker's Daughter.  (Please refer to Friday's lessons if you missed me reading the end of the story and would like to catch up).  Please follow the Oak Academy lesson by clicking on the link below and then answer the questions on the Google doc (then do please remember to press 'submit' to send it in).  
In the afternoon, watch the video clip and then have a go at drawing a landscape.  It can be real, or made-up.  You can do it in pencil or add colour and can do it in which ever medium you prefer (charcoal, paint, pencil and so on).    Please share your pictures with me - I would love to see them.  
Don't forget to battle  the Otters on TTRockstars! 

Wednesday 20th January

Hi everyone,

There will be a Google meet at 9.15 this morning.

For spelling, copy the next three words on the list three times each and then put the words into sentences.  

For maths, there is a bit more work on division.  Keep at it - it will get easier!

In the afternoon, I have posted some French work,  You do not have to print off the worksheets.  You can complete the reading exercise by telling an adult the answers and for the ID card activity you can make an ID card of your own (please see the video clip for ideas).

Hi everyone

There will be a quick Google meet at 9.15 today. 

For spelling, can you put the words on the spelling list into alphabetical order?

There is a bit more work on division  - I am sure you are a becoming experts by now!  

For English, watch the video on compound sentences (it is very useful revision0 and then write 5 compound sentences of your own using the BOA words (but, or, and).  

In the afternoon, there is an RE worksheet to complete and for a bit of fun, I have posted a sign to sign song for you to practise.

Friday 22nd January

Hi everyone

Well done - we have made it to the end of another week.  

We will have a final Google meet of the week at 9.15 today.  Perhaps you would like to share a 'positive of the week'?  (Something that has gone well, or something that you pleased about).  

This afternoon, I have put up a dance for you to learn,  The teacher, Oti Mabuse, enabled Bill Bailey to win Strictly Come Dancing this year.  Have fun dancing along.  Perhaps you could learn the moves and teach them to your parents this weekend?
