Today we loved singing a new version of Nelly the Elephant focusing on the ph phoneme.
A phoneme is a sound. The ph digraph makes the same sound as f.
After singing Nelly the elephant and practising our action, we captioned pictures by segmenting the sounds in words. For example dolphin: d-o-l-ph-i-n.
We even pinched the sounds on our magic fingers for the word s-ph-i-n-x!!
