Literacy

(Approx. 30 mins)

• Pause and guess the minibeasts in the video.

Activity:

• Change the story of ‘The bat learns to dance’ into your own story!
• Draw your own story map, but this time change some of your characters.
• You could even use post it notes to cover up the characters on your first story map and draw on top, to change them!
•  Share it with someone in your family!

Maths (Reception)

• Join in with the song, knocking over your bottles or cups at the same time.

Activity:

• Sing the song 5 green bottles, whilst knocking over the bottles (or cups/tins etc) as you go.
• Make up your own one less song or choose another one.

Phonics

(Approx.  20mins)

• Watch Miss Sutton’s video: ‘ar’
• Pause it at the relevant points for your child to answer any questions, practise letter formation or to fill in each part of the sheet.
• The sheet is called ‘Phonics- ar’.
• If you do not have access to a printer, please don’t worry – children can write it out on a piece of paper, the sheet isn’t necessary but may just be handy as a reference J
