‘Slide down the jelly, around the plate and pop a cherry on the top’
We loved the story of ‘Don’t stick your finger in the jelly nelly!'
After reading it, we danced saying ‘j, j, jiggle jelly, j, j, jiggle jelly’.
Then we practised forming the letter j on jelly paper. We searched through jelly and read words with ‘j’ in them and we wrote words such as j-a-m, j-e-t, J-i-m.
The jelly was so cold and squelchy!
After that, we made our own jelly, carefully measuring with Mrs Smith.
