HEDGEHOG CLASS

Last Half Term

We can't quite believe that we only have one more half term left this year, and what a year we have had so far! However, we will ensure that this year goes out with a bang!

Our topic for this half term is...

DOWN UNDER

We will kick start our topic in our new school allotment where the children will have the chance to dig 'Down Under' to see what they will find. This allotment will be an ongoing project throughout their time at Barnham where the children will be able to grow, harvest, sell and eat their own produce.

The children will then be learning all about Australia where they will look at Aboriginal Art, Australian food and Australian animals (in particular, spiders and snakes ).

If you have any Australian artefacts, stories, ideas you wish to lend the class then please come and speak with a member of the team.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

The children all learned the story behind Chinese New Year. We set up a Chinese restaurant and the children enjoyed dressing up, cooking and eating.
