Action: Pretend that you are holding a spade, digging the dirt

Writing rhyme: Dig around the diamond, up, down and flick it away

 

d d dig, d d dig! Today Sam and Dave left us a treasure box to d d dig in!

As we dug we found treasure and bones!

The bones had words on them that we sounded out and blended,

the diamonds had sounds on them!

 

After reading them, we practised writing them on our own diamonds!
