Sound: ch

ch

‘Go all the way around the caterpillars mouth, whoop, chase the rabbit down the hole back over the rock and flick’

We had a very busy afternoon learning the ch digraph (when 2 letters make one sound).

We started with a very special egg hunt. Our chickens had laid eggs with words on them! We found lots of eggs, read the words and recorded them on our clipboards.

After that, we fed the chickens, using their food to make the ch digraph. Then we made ‘ch’ soup with lots of food with the ch digraph e.g. chicken, cheese, chorizo, cherries. After we made the soup, we recorded our recipes.

Finally, we listened to the story of chicken licken in the cosy warm cabin, we were sooo busy!
