Literacy

- Watch Miss Flower’s video.
- Today we are talking about the characters in the story of the gingerbread man.
- Fill in the sheet as Miss Flower shows you.

Maths (Reception):
(Approx. 30 mins)
- Watch this video: ‘Session 5 – Equal and unequal groups (Alive in 5! - Week 1) (8mins)
Activity:
- How many dots are there? Answer as quickly as you can and show us on your fingers!
- Set up a teddy bears picnic for lunchtime.
- Gather together food (or pretend food/objects) to share out.
- Share the food between 2/3 teddies or people.
- Does one teddy has more / the same / fewer?

Maths (Year one):
(Approx. 20 mins)
- There is no video today.
- Instead, there are a series of questions to test your knowledge on 2D and 3D shapes.
- Some questions are a little bit tricky but I think you can do it! :)
Activity/ Resources:
- Paper, pencils
- Separate sheet (Y1 Maths Wednesday)
Phonics:
(Approx. 20mins)
- Play musical sound statues!
- Write down/lay out your sound flashcards on the floor.
- When the music stops, shout out the sound that you land on!
- Can you build a word with the sounds that you land on?
- Afterwards, play your favourite games on https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/
