‘Around the London eye, down to big ben, sharp flick, under the underpants and flick them away’
Qu qu quiet for the Queen!
You won’t believe it…today, the queen visited us in hedgehogs!
We greeted her with her favourite rhyme ‘qu qu quiet for the queen’,
whilst welcoming her to our classroom!
After that, we sat in a circle singing ‘The grand old Duke of York’. When the queen shouted ‘stop’ we quickly picked up a qu word and used our magic fingers to pinch the sounds in the word to help us read it. E.g. qu-ee-n, qu-i-ck, qu-i-l-t.
The queen answered lots of questions before she left and explained how impressed she was with our super listening!
