Remote Learning for the Week Beginning 1st March

Monday 1st March

Hi everyone
I hope you enjoyed Feel-good Friday and I hope you all had a lovely weekend,   We are into the last week of lockdown learning!  I can't wait to see you all back in the classroom next week!
We have a fun week lined up with World Book Day on Thursday.  For your spellings you could practice writing four three words today, three tomorrow and four on Wednesday.  You can use the spelling sheets attached as optional extras.
I have set some Science for the afternoon.
Have a good day!

Tuesday 2nd March

See you all at 9.15 for our daily Google meet after which I will teach today's maths.
Have a good day everyone!

Wednesday 3rd March

Hi everyone
I look forward to seeing you in the Google meet at 9.15, as usual, where I will be going through the maths work.  Well done to you all for your super work on subtracting fractions.  I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the lesson on 'Exploring the Deep.'  Today's lesson will also focus on the book.  I know that lots of you have also enjoyed the online music lessons - I hope you enjoy the session this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone!

Thursday 4th March

WORLD BOOK DAY!

Hi everyone
Today is WORLD BOOK DAY!
At our Google meet today, please share your book recommendations.  You could show the book too, if you like.
I have posted the Barnham Book Day presentation of recommended activities compiled by Miss Potter.
I have also added links to the World Book Day website where you can see presentations made by authors and illustrators.
I thought you might be particularly interested to watch the presentation made by Katherine Rundell (author of Rooftoppers).   You could try her challenge of writing a prequel to a favourite book, as she has done with her £1 book that you can buy with your World Book Day voucher.
You could also have a go at making a video with props as I have tried to do below with some cuddly animals.  I would love see your results.

If you click on the links on the World Book Day diary below, you can hear authors reading their own books too!

Can you identify the masked readers?  Can you guess them all?  (You can check the answers by clicking on the link below).
I hope you have a lovely day!
