OfSTED Inspection Report 2022

We have now received our final OfSTED report following our inspection on 6th and 7th December 2022.

We are delighted to inform you that we are a ‘Good’ School with many areas of practice described by the inspector during feedback with Governors, Local Authority and St Edmundsbury Diocese as ‘more than good’.

We are exceptionally proud of our whole school community – children, our staff team, parents and governors all make our school a very special place where children flourish and thrive.

Our partnerships with St Gregory’s Church and Euston Estate provide our pupils with opportunities to learn, discover and develop in ways that stretch far beyond the classroom; we are blessed and appreciative of their ongoing commitment to ‘growing the future’.

I hope you enjoy reading the report, please note that under the new (2019) OfSTED framework, reports are shorter, ‘jargon free’ and written to be accessible and understood by a wide range of people. As mentioned above the more detailed verbal feedback shared on the final inspection day, gives us more detail. This was overwhelmingly positive; see some of the examples below:

  • The extensive range of opportunities to learn beyond the curriculum, which are woven into everything. This ‘irresistible’ curriculum builds pupils life experiences.
  • Pupils are polite and engaged in their learning. They can get on and work actively but know when to stop and come back and listen. Pupils demonstrated respect in waiting for their opportunity to speak.
  • There is a strong culture of behavior and attendance.
  • Pupils are respectful of differences and said that ‘differences don’t matter; it is personality that matters’.
  • Staff have lots of training and CPD and teachers are confident in delivering the majority of the curriculum.
