Our School enjoys close links with our local Church of England village church: St Gregory's, Barnham. We go to church often, and we welcome church into school often too.
The local ecumenical Open the Book team come into Collective Worship fortnightly, acting out stories from the Bible and leading staff and children in reflection and prayer.
We celebrate the seasons of the Church year, and it's major festivals, in school and in church. We explore Christian ceremonies too, coming to St Gregory's for mock christenings and weddings. We also support local church events, for example taking part in Archbishop Justin's prayer campaign 'Thy Kingdom Come', singing at the Community Cafe held in the church, reading on Remembrance Day, providing a children's choir at Christmas. Local clergy lead our Collective Worship, and help us to explore the Lord's Prayer and Church seasons.
To find out what's going on at the church, check out their website or follow them on Facebook by searching for 'St Gregory's Barnham'.
Moles and Hedgehogs went down to the church to sing the songs from their Nativity for people in the community. They sang beautifully and did all of the actions proudly. Well done!
