oo
‘Around the octopus’ mouth, whoop, around the octopus’ mouth’
Today we watched the phonics fairy read the story ‘I like books’ dressed as a monkey!
When you make arms like a monkey you can see the digraph oo in your arms!
Afterwards, we practised recording oo words together on the carpet.
oo oo I like books!
Be careful not to say oooooh (that’s the long oo sound that we are learning later in the week) – the sound we learnt today is the short oo sound e.g. took, look, book.
