Spelling Shed
At Barnham we use spelling shed to help us with our spellings. It is free to use on a web browser or there is an app available to buy. Every child has been sent home with their log in. If you have misplaced the log in, please let me know and I can give you a new copy. 
The spellings we do in class are linked to the spellings they are practicing each week on Spelling Shed, so they should be familiar with them.
Handwriting
In Badger class we do handwriting every morning. KS2 pupils are now working hard to earn a pen licence and KS1 could earn a special pencil to write with. During handwriting we practice the spellings we have been working on, keeping a special eye out for the sound we are focusing on. We also have a look out the statutory spellings for Year 2, 3 and 4. This allows us to have a place where we can look up spellings whilst completing writing in our English lessons. Their handwriting has already improved so much!! If you wish to practice handwriting, please let me know and I can give you a sheet with all the correct joins on and how we practice them in class.
