Name : ck This is a digraph - this is when 2 letters make one sound.
Rather than saying c-k, we just say ck (one sound).
Sound: ck
Action: Pretend to type on the computer saying 'ck' 'ck'
Writing rhyme: Around the caterpillars mouth, whoop, down the ketchup bottle, back up, around the lid and flick.
We use 'whoop' to create the join between the two letters.
We practised writing the digraph ck on our own computers today.
After that, we applied the digraph to words e.g. s-a-ck / p-i-ck.
To finish, we enjoyed playing 'grab a giggling grapheme' and
'flashcards speed trial' on the board altogether.
