  • Suffolk Raising the Bar Awards 2015 Winner!

    Thu 25 Jun 2015

We are all so very proud of Sarah Waller for winning Suffolk's 'Rising Star of the Year' award.  A well-deserved winner! smiley

    Sarah's Story

Sarah was born prematurely at 29 weeks, then at the age of two she was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, an uncommon cancer of the liver. After undergoing surgery and intensive chemotherapy, she finished treatment, but starting reception class she was behind her peers in many areas of development. Starting school as a shy and reserved child, Sarah showed true grit and determination to overcome the obstacles in her early years to emerge into a confident, capable and charismatic young learner.

  • Award winning Rural Pastimes stall!!

    Mon 08 Jun 2015

Whoop whoop!!  We have had the most exciting weekend. Falcon Class (Year 5) took full responsibility for setting up and running a stall at the local Rural Pastimes event at Euston.

All aspects of the project have been undertaken by Year 5 learners, from designing the logo; to managing the set up budget, the class have excelled in their challenge.

This weekend saw the event take place, so many compliments were given to the children on their creativity and originality, as the stall packed with colourful and creative planters, scrummy cakes and a frugby game attracted a great deal of attention from the public attending the show.

Just before the end of the day, we were delighted to receive the award of best trade stand! We were even more delighted when Duke Harry, the Duke of Grafton presented us with a winning rosette!

This weekend saw just the proudest headteacher, teacher and teaching assistant stand back and beam with pride at our amazing learners, engaged in real life, memorable learning for life.
