Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
I would just like to say a big thank you to all the parents who attended one of the maths cafes that I have been running the last three Mondays. It has been a really informative experience for me, and I hope that everyone has been able to take something from them too. Please feel free to come and talk to me about any area of mathematics...I will always try and help if I can!
Kind regards,
Ed King.
Congratulations to the Barnham football team for recording a third straight win. The team beat Norton Primary 6-3 in an entertaining match on Tuesday. The conditions were perfect and it was great to see so many parents, grandparents and children cheering on the side in our first home game this year. The key to success was our great teamwork, spirit and discipline. The highlight of the match was an incredible volley by Jevan - a contender for goal of the season!
Many thanks to Adam Mitchell who made a special trip to Thetford Town on Friday evening to kindly provide us with a new goal and net. Without his help it would have been jumpers for goal-posts! We are at home again on Tuesday - can we make it four out of four?
On Tuesday evening, the football team secured another victory with a terrific away win at Hopton, running out winners 3 goals to 5, having been 1-0 down at half-time. George Bethall scored a hat-trick, with the others coming from Tyler Jenkins and super-sub Jo Fleet. The team played with a great shape with Libby Moore holding the middle of the park, Tyler Murray breaking down the wings, the two Megans absolutely terrific at the back and Jevan Thompson proving to be a tough goalie to beat. The player of the match award was a difficult decision, especially as George got his three goals, but it was decided that Megan Freese's performance in defense warranted the award as she was outstanding and is a player growing in confidence all the time.
Next Tuesday sees Barnham host Norton, so if anyone wants to come and cheer the team on, kick off will be at 15:30.
We are delighted to have won second place in the schools 'Udderly great art competition'. Our cow Mooriel was based on 'Moosicals!'.
We are delighted that we have won £1,000 - the school has the biggest wish list so this prize will help to make some of our wishes come true!
Here is Elias, Harrison, Joshua, Jack and Louis, along with the Mayor of Thetford collecting the cheque.
