  • Apprentice Scientists

Fri 27 May 2016 Mrs Arnold

As part of our work with the 'Breaking New Ground' project, children from Year 2 and Year 4 visited Barnham Cross Common to explore and investigate the plant life.

After a short bus ride, the children were introduced to the different plant species that thrive living in The Brecks.  Using a key card to help them children set off to explore and look for different plants. Describing the plants via an interview process helped the children to identify the species.

Off course, no trip outdoors is complete without an opportunity to hunt for insects and study their features up close!

The next generation of botanists and entomologists (a scientist that studies insects) can be seen below.

Fri 20 May 2016 Mrs Dowds

    19th May

We were invited to Ixworth Free School for a 'Shipwrecked' themed Creative writing work shop.

Firstly, the children participated in a series of drama activities before writing messages in a bottle .

The children were a pleasure to take and worked really hard to ensure that they showcased their writing skills to the high school teachers.
