• At home versus Honington: match report.

  Yesterday afternoon saw Barnham's year 6 play their first home match of the season, and the sizeable crowd witnessed a 9 goal thriller. The match, adeptly refereed by our own Mr Holman, saw Barnham surge to an early three goal lead, only to be pegged back to three goals apiece by the beginning of the fourth quarter. Lennon Squires was outstanding again in the Barnham goal, keeping wave after wave of Honington attacks at bay, before two late goals from Archie King gave Barnham a bit of breathing space. A late consolation for Honington led to a very nervy last few minutes, but the final score was Barnham 5, Honington 4. 

   

  Pour next game is away at Hopton next Tuesday.

   

   

  

• Football match at Ixworth.

  Yesterday afternoon, Barnham opened their 2016 7-a-side campaign with a hard fought draw away at Ixworth. Barnham showed tremendous grit to peg back a determined Ixworth team - scoring twice in the latter stages to cancel out Ixworth's early goals. Lennon Squires was outstanding in Barnham's goal, and both our goals came from the boot of our newest player - Ewan Brown. It was a really competitive match, and a great start to the season for our team.
